Martin Andersson is currently a Director at Labro Investments Limited, the General Director of Labro Investments (Asia) LLC, and serves on the Board of Interface Financial Group. He is a Swedish investor and entrepreneur with more than three decades of experience in investment banking, principal investing, and company leadership.

He began his career at Booz Allen Hamilton Inc., advising on M&A and later worked with the Russian government on its privatisation programme. In 1993 he co-founded Brunswick Brokerage, a Moscow-based investment bank later sold to UBS, serving first as Chief Executive Officer and from 1999 as Chairman of Brunswick UBS Warburg Limited. Alongside his work in financial services, he has held board and shareholder roles in a range of companies, including JSC Siberian Coal Energy Company (SUEK), Brunswick Real Estate, Brunswick Rail Limited, and other businesses in real estate, information technology, and energy.

Since 2016, Martin has devoted considerable time and resources to the mining sector, having served until 2024 as Executive Chairman of Chaarat Gold Holdings Limited, a formerly AIM-listed company with development projects in the Tien Shan gold belt. In this role, he oversaw the advancement of assets in Kyrgyzstan and Armenia, and helped shape the company’s regional growth strategy. His long-term engagement in Central Asia, fluency in the region’s business culture, and experience working with governments, commercial partners, and local communities have underpinned his approach as a patient investor. He remains committed to supporting high-quality projects that contribute to employment, infrastructure, sustainable economic development, and environmental stewardship through a Nature Positive commitment.
